California suffers more mesothelioma deaths than any other state in the union. Between 2001 and 2010 California recorded 2,637 mesothelioma deaths. To get an idea of where this ranks compared to other states, the state with the second highest number of deaths is Florida where the state recorded 1,713 mesothelioma deaths during that same period.
